How to Save Files Offline (when in the Domain)
| |
| |
| Once you have made the file you want to be ‘Always available offline’ the Sync loading bar will appear which will be syncing all the data of the file to your local PC drive. The ‘Green rotation’ symbol in the bottom right corner of the desktop will illustrate the syncing of files.
|
How to view Offline files (when outside the Domain)
| When you have made files from the school domain to be ‘Always available offline’, your File Explorer when outside the domain should look like the image to the Left. Notice the ‘Red Crosses’ against the Drives where files are stored, this shows you are outside of the network domain.
- Notice the Drive that is illustrated via the ‘Green line’, this drive has data saved to it.
- Please click this Drive if it looks like the following.
|
| Once you have clicked the Drive where data is stored you will again notice differences between Online and Offline files. All files that have ‘Crosses X’ cannot be accessed but the ones that do not have ‘Crosses X’ can be accessed as they have been made ‘Always available offline’. Click the file with no ‘Crosses X’.
|
| The file that has a ‘Green rotation’ symbol attached to it, is the file that you chose to be made ‘Always available offline’. This file should contain all the saved data you wanted.
|
| Please be aware that when you are outside of the domain your files will look like the following in the ‘bottom left corner’ illustrating that your file is ‘Offline’. Also please be aware that when you return to the domain, your file will reappear to look ‘Online’ as the following images show.
|
Any changes made outside the domain will be Synced to the original file when your return to the domain (regain access to MMHS WiFi).
